In the beginning, I took photos of everything I could. I did families, maternity, babies, children, seniors, even some products. I did so many photos, that I soon learned what I loved and what I didn’t, what I was good at and what I wasn’t, and decided to narrow my path down to youngsters. Now, I enjoy all stages of childhood, but I have developed a LOVE for everything baby, so I decided to put all of my time and energy into newborns and infants, which is where my focus remains today.

As I look back at my path, I have come a long way! I started off taking photos in a small room of my home, to now building a barn with a studio attached. I have spent countless hours mastering my craft, purchasing props and high end equipment, and taking class after class. I still continue to learn today and suppose I will continue until I end this journey. My two professions are a perfect combination while working with babies too. You can feel confident knowing that I will always handle your newborn baby and infant with the utmost care and safety.

I can’t wait to meet you and your baby soon and hope you have the BEST day!

My name is Angie, and I’m the sole photographer here at JackWy Photography. I wanted to take a minute to tell you a little bit about myself, how I came to be a photographer, and my photography journey. But before I get into all of that, I’d like to welcome you to my website and tell you that I’m so happy you’re here! Without YOU, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Many of you don’t know that my primary occupation is actually a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) here in Holland Michigan. I have known from a very young age that I wanted to work with babies and children, so right after high school, I attended GVSU and became a pediatric nurse. I then went on to get my Master’s Degree, also from GVSU, and in 2005, I officially became a pediatric nurse practitioner. Right after school, I accepted a job in Wellington Florida, so my husband and I uprooted from West Michigan and moved 1,200 miles away from home. This was probably one of the scariest things I have EVER done!

While in Florida, my husband and I welcomed 2 beautiful children, Jackson and Wyatt, and that was when I bought my first “good camera.” Now when I say “good camera,” it was just your basic DSLR, but for me, it was a work of art. With my very basic, entry level camera, I taught myself how to master my settings, and learned how to tell my cameral what to do. I took photos of everything, like literally everything. And then, when my youngest was only 6 months old, my husband and I decided to move back home to be closer to family, and that’s when I decided to learn all I could about photography and start my little business.
