So you’ve booked your family session and now you have to decide what you’re going to wear. You spend hour after hour trying to choose the right outfit and just as you think you’ve got it, you change your mind. This page is designed to help you decide what to wear, keeping style and functionality in mind.
Ideally, you really want to think of the family’s clothing as one big outfit. For example, when you dress yourself in the morning, you want your outfit be to balanced and coordinate, not plain or boring, but also not too busy. Start off by picking a color scheme you’d like to work with, maybe 3 or 4 colors, and try to work your outfits around those colors. Vary the styles, patterns and textures of your clothing, but avoid getting too many patterns within a small family. With large groups, you’ll be able to get away with more, but if you have a family of 4 or 5, it’s easy to get carried away. The last point I’d like to make, is choose something comfortable for your children. If kids aren’t comfortable, it will show in your photo.
Stick to these simple tips, and you’ll be on your way to great style! I’ve provided some outfit ideas on my Pintrest Board below, hope it helps!
